The St. Thomas development office, constituent relations function, university relations and alumni affairs offices comprise the Institutional Advancement division of the university.
The activities of Institutional Advancement attract resources to the university and enable the institution to move forward in fulfilling its mission and in realizing its full potential to serve and educate its students. Those resources may take the form of financial contributions or the volunteer activities of alumni. They may also take the form of accurate and favorable public perceptions of the institution and its activities. All of these are valuable and necessary assets to the university if it is to continue to make progress in fulfilling its important mission.
